A lodge based safari often entails transfers into private concessions by light aircraft. It is also possible to drive between (some) luxury lodges based in the Game Reserves and National Parks. Botswana has a proud policy of high cost low impact tourism; this allows for a true African wilderness experience. Prices vary from lodge to lodge as does the style, hospitality and cuisine. Mobile expedition style safaris
A mobile expedition style safari is one of the best ways to experience the wild places in Botswana. The accommodation is tented in private sites accessed only by industry members; securing complete privacy and flexibility to experience the wildlife. It allows us to spend as much time as possible in the bush, often carrying a picnic lunch with us to maximise our time. It is perfect for birders and photographers alike, who simply need time to get images and complete bird checklists whilst in the country.
